I have to preface all of this by saying that if you are a fan of anime and/or manga and you haven't watched/read Fullmetal Alchemist, you are truly missing out. Even if you have never experienced either of these media before, you still should at least check out this series. I had never watched an anime before this one and it instantly captured me. In short, no matter who you are, at least give Fullmetal Alchemist a try if you haven't before, and you have my personal guarantee that you will at least find it interesting.
Okay, now that that's out of the way, this website is the culmination of a project I did for my Honors 201 class at Ball State University. The basic premise of the project was to analyze certain aspects of Fullmetal Alchemist in respect to our world and to draw parallels between the series and several of the pieces that we studied in the class. I specifically focused on the two main sciences of the FMA universe: alchemy and alkahestry. Along with this analysis I did my best to produce something resembling art in both styles. Soooo...yeah! Enjoy!
